EXIM BANK Financing Letter of Intent for MATRAHOLDING to support its market entry projects in the Angolan Republic

EXIM BANK, the official export credit agency of Hungary, provided a Financing Letter of Intent for MATRAHOLDING to support its market entry projects in the Angolan Republic.

EXIM Hungary provides a solid financial background for Hungarian export companies, their suppliers and enterprises planning to export with foreign trade-related credit services and risk-insurance products of the highest international standard that promote the expansion and success of their activities.

Mr. Peter Szijjarto Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade announced to dedicate a budget of 300 Million EUR for financing structural development projects, that are executed by Hungarian suppliers in Angola, at the session of the Angolan-Hungarian Joint Economic Committee in January 2022.

Hungary has numerous certified full-line electric technology suppliers, which have manufacturing plants on three continents and a worldwide network of sales offices and specialized agents serving customers in over 135 countries. More than 500,000 Power Systems transformers are currently in use throughout the world.

The Hungarian electricity technology service providers have special expertise in the field of electricity distribution in rural areas within a multi-network national system.
The Hungarian expertise and the above-mention capacities would mean significant added value to the recent complex electricity grid development of the Government of Angola.

In collaboration with the Hungarian Government, MATRAHOLDING coordinates the Hungarian electricity grid development community to deliver result in international projects.

The Head of the Matraholding International Business Development Unit forwarded the Financing Letter of Intent to the Ministry of Energy and Water of the Angolan Republic.
